Are you looking for place with limpid sea water and high mountains behind you? Place full of lavander smell? Do you prefer quiet evenings or spending your time in a nice quiet sea restaurant? Do you love long walks along shore til colourful dusk comes down or hiking to the mountains offering breath taking views? Are you looking for histroical sites and curiosity? Do you dream about holidays full of sunshine? Then you´ve just really found it.
Isle of Hvar is the sunniest place of Croatia. The south part of the isle is protected against ups and downs of the weather coming from the coast due to its position, prevailing wind a guite high mountain-ridge. Nice weather is warranted almost the whole season from early spring till late autumn.
Village Svetá Nedelja is on furthermost west end of the road which connects small vilages on southern seashore of island Hvar. The road ends here. Nobody is travelling through.
You can find a few small vilages on this road with very low traffic. This part of island is accessible only by personal car because of narrow but long tunnel. Due to the traffic limitation this part of island is favourite place for people who love quiet and natural places with authentic character of Mediterranean Croatioan island.

Shore offers accessible places suitable for bathing with small children as well as wild rocks. Some places on the shore are adapted for comfortable sunbathing and acces to the sea. Narrow, 1.5 km long path leads along the shore that belongs to the village. On the west side it leads to the wharf which is connected with the land by 8 meters high small bridge. Lovers of adrenalin sports can jump down from this place directly to the limpid sea. On the east side the path ends with sheer romantic cliffs where you can take on rock climbing. You can find protected climbing path there.
Directly on the shore you can visit two restaurants offering everything, including ice-cream as well as sea fruits. One of these restaurants is part of small protected marina for 4-6 yachts. During summer season there is a small bakery offering fresh bread every day. You can visit also co-op in the upper part of the village which is opened during the whole year. If you like hiking you should set up early in the morning for the trip to the top of Svety Nikola.You will pass the co-op mentioned above and you will continue through the vineyards directly to sheer hill untill you reach the highest place of the Hvar Island. |

Above the village you can visit a cave with remains of an Augustinian monastery from the 15th c. The top of the hill is signed by huge white cross which is well visible from the sea shore. The trip to the top, to the height of 628m above the sea will take about two hours.
